bēginn was created from clinical experience in women's health and reproductive care. Its assessment frameworks, interpretations, and support plans are clinically designed.
The Beginning
Why bēginn exists
bēginn was founded on a premise that is simple to state, and still rare to act on:
the health of the next generation does not begin at birth, at the first prenatal visit, or at the moment a fertility challenge becomes a diagnosis.
It begins earlier.
In the months leading into pregnancy, in the patterns of health that shape whether conception is possible, how a pregnancy progresses, and what outcomes follow for both mother and child.
This window is one of the most well-supported and underutilized opportunities in modern health.
Across reproductive medicine, epigenetics, and the developmental origins of health and disease, the signal is consistent:
earlier physiology shapes downstream outcomes.
What has been missing is not evidence, but the needed support.
There is no structured, clinically grounded system designed to support patients in this earlier window in a way that integrates with care, informs clinicians, and translates insight into action.
bēginn is being built to serve that role.
Not as a replacement for care, but as a foundational layer within it, one that supports patients earlier, strengthens clinical decision-making, and contributes to a more proactive model of women's health and generational outcomes.

Founder & Clinical Director
Nicole Homan is a board-certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner with a background spanning clinical care, reproductive health, and clinical nutrition.
Through years of clinical practice and systems-level observation, she identified a consistent and consequential gap:
the earliest drivers of fertility, pregnancy outcomes, and long-term health were well understood, but not meaningfully supported within standard care models.
Opportunities to intervene earlier existed, but lacked structure, continuity, and integration into clinical workflows.
bēginn was created to address that gap.
Her work is focused on building a clinically grounded, scalable model that supports patients before, during, and beyond pregnancy, while aligning with the clinicians and systems responsible for their care.
The aim is not to add more to healthcare, but to establish a more foundational layer within it.
